Michelle from CNET gives you a review/first look of the new MacBook Air, which is the world’s thinnest laptop - so thin it can fit inside one of those brown office envelopes!  It is 4mm at the front and 19mm tall at the back and features a 13.3 inch LED backlit display, 2 GB of memory, 80 GB hard drive and a 1.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  As of this writing you can pre-order it now for $1,799.

AByteofApple reviews the Dell Inspiron 1420 Laptop which features an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, 14.1″ widescreen, 120 gb hard drive and more.  The 1420 has a starting price of $799 but the base model definitely needs upgrades which Dell will clean out your bank account for.  Overall, the Dell Insprion 1420 can be designed to benefit students, professionals and even gamers.  So yes…this laptop is recommended.
